Swedish School Nairobi, Trip to Mount Kenya.

The trip consisted of 53 students, 5 relatives and 4 teachers. It ran from the 7-11 of February 2013. They went up the Naro Moru route to Metrological station, then to Mackinder's camp. On the acclimatization day at Mackinder's camp the group hiked to two tarn where some students went swimming. On the way back we passed through the BBC Planet Earth camp.
The ascent to Point Lenana began at 2 am heading up the scree to Austrian hut then onto the Highest Via Ferrata in the world to Point Lenana. 50 students, 5 relatives and 4 teachers made it to the peak.
The trip had a few altitude related illness which were managed by the Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT) Shikuku Ookoo.
